This course is to inform you about Rapid Building Assessments (RBA) and to introduce you to the role of an assessor within the wider emergency response operational structure. It focuses on:

  • The reasons for RBA

  • The scope of RBA

  • The role of the assessment team

  • Rapid building assessors who have completed face-to-face advanced training
  • Chartered professional engineers, geoprofessionals, building officials, senior architects and emergency support staff wanting introductory awareness training

  • The tier 2 assessor’s role as team leader

  • The assessment process

  • Key stages that happen in RBA.

  • Chartered structural engineers, geoprofessionals, senior building officials and senior architects who have completed face-to-face advanced training and who will lead teams of rapid building assessors.
